Skin Peels

Mesopeel is an advanced range of specific chemical peels, designed for professionals who require safe, efficient products, which are convenient and controllable. Can be used to treat hyperpigmentation, signs of each phase of ageing and aesthetic conditions such as acne, acne scaring, rosacea, stretch marks and other imperfections.

The range includes mono substance peels (hydroxy acids and trichloroacetic acid) and combined peels:

Meso peel Glycolic acid

Indicated for the treatment of fine wrinkles and photoaging. Can be used for all photo-types and for skin with only slight problem. Stimulates the formation of collagen, elastin and other dermal concerns. Also good for pigmented lesions.

Meso peel Lactic acid

Indicated for the treatment of first signs of photo- ageing. It Stimulates production of new collagen and elastin. It has a natural moisturizing effect on the skin as a result of attracting water molecules to the stratum corneum, leaving the skin plumped. It can be used for all photo-types and for skin with only slight problems. Also good for sensitive, dry dull skin types.

Meso peel Salicylic acid

Indicated for oily skin with acne and/or seborrheic blemishes. It has a strong keratolytic and sebum regulating effect.

Meso peel Mandelic acid

Indicated for oily and seborrheic skin and/or individuals with dyschromia. Mandelic acid peel gently and gradually penetrates the skin, it stimulates collagen and proteoglycan synthesis, encouraging skin rejuvenation and allowing gentler more gradual exfoliation.

Meso peel TCA

A self neutralizing trichloroacetic acid peel that gradually penetrates the skin to treat moderate ageing, superficial and medium depth wrinkles, dull skin,  pigmented lesions, comedonal acne and superficial acne scars.

Meso peel Combined Melanostop Trans 3x

Indicated for dull skins with uneven skin tone, such as superficial and epidermal lesions, particularly developed treatment of melasma and other similar     dyschromia’s, solar lentigos, ephelides.

Meso peel Combined Jessner

Indicated for mild moderate photo ageing, expression lines and superficial wrinkles, loss of firmness, dilated pores and dull lacklustre skin. This synergistic combination of substances makes it possible to practically treat the most specific and common aesthetic disorders by maximising the properties of each agent to give an overall result.

Indicated for all signs and symptoms of acne, comedonal and/or inflammatory acne, seborrheic dermatitis, and medium acne scars.

A STEP BY STEP TIMELINE OF THE 12 WEEKS TO WOW:

1. HAVE A PRE-PEEL CONSULTATION

Your trained Medik8 skin prationer will arrange an in-clinic consultation appointment convenient to you, so you can discuss your skin goals together and work out the best in-clinic and at-home regime for you. At this initial consultation, your therapist will talk through their recommended approach to help you meet your skin goals. This will likely involve 6 Medik8 professional peels (spaced 10-14 days apart) and CSA homecare to use twice daily. CSA is our core philosophy for achieving Beautiful Skin for Life: vitamin C plus Sunscreen by day, vitamin A by night.

2. CSA SKIN PREP

Your therapist will send you home with your CSA homecare to prepare the skin for around 2 weeks before returning to have your first peel. At the pre-peel consultation, they will also take a photo of your skin from a few angles so you can track your progress over the course of the programme. You will also receive your 12 Weeks to WOW Skin Passport which is a printed booklet you should bring to each appointment which you and your therapist fill in together to track your progress and the treatments and peel strengths you’ve experienced. It’s a great tool to help your therapist tailor the very best programme for you. They are able to dial-up or down the types and strengths of each treatment, so your experience is truly bespoke to you. Plus homecare can be reviewed as and when you need top-ups.

3. PEEL TIME

After 2 weeks of consistent at-home CSA use, you will return to clinic for your first of 6 professional peel treatments. You can read what to expect from a peel below. All Medik8 peels have Time-Release technology which means minor discomfort is minimised. Every skin is different, but many clients describe the experience as either itchy or just increased heat on the skin. You can ask the therapist to remove the peel at any point in the treatment, but we find the majority of clients are easily able to have the peel on the skin for the recommended 10 minutes which only enhances the results. Time may vary dependent on skin condition or type.

4. COOLING OFF

After the peel treatment is concluded, it is neutralised quickly by your therapist and cool, soothing gauzes are placed on the skin to normalise it as quickly as possible. You will then receive beautiful pampering aftercare with layers of soothing serums and creams tailored to your skin type. You will leave the clinic make-up free but with a Medik8 post treatment kit with everything you need to care for the skin for the next 3-5 days. Your therapist will advise you how to use everything to get the best results and book in your next appointment (if not already done).She may well give you a ring a few days later to check in how your skin is feeling and recovering. Be sure to update your Skin Passport with all this information too.

5. PEELS 2 TO 6

After 10 to 14 days have elapsed since your first peel, you will have your second in-clinic appointment for peel 2. Using your Skin Passport notes, your therapist will discuss how you felt the first treatment was, how it felt on the skin and assess what’s needed for peel 2. The process repeats every 10 to 14 days with another in-clinic professional peel until all 6 are complete. Your therapist will recommend top-ups to your homecare as and when you need them along the way.

6. THE BIG WOW REVEAL

After completing your 6 peels, you will be invited back for 1 last in-clinic appointment to review the process and compare your before and after pictures. As well as celebrating the results with you, your therapist can then discuss how to prolong them and recommend an ongoing maintenance regime to help retain Beautiful Skin for Life.

What is a cosmelan peel?

This is a very advanced peel for quick depigmentation action and is highly effective for melasma. If you are frustrated with dark patches on your face that have not responded to standard treatment this peel is for you, the peel uses kojic acid which safely reduces excess melanin in the skin reducing melasma by up to 95%, it also is a rapid lightening procedure adaptable to any skin type even the darkest of skin types. Not only is it the best treatment for pigmentation it can strip years off you making you look 10 years younger.

How our cosmelan peel works?

Firstly you will come into the clinic for a consultation with one of our expertly trained skin therapists, were they will assess your skin and ask some questions to get a better understanding of what caused the pigmentation and which variation of treatment is best. The first step of this procedure is skin preparation and a kit that is part of your depigmentation programme is given to you to apply prior to coming in for your treatments. The second and third step will take place in the clinic, where your skin therapist will complete a mini peel for you just ahead of time before the high strength depigmentation peel. At your next visit the  cosmelan 1 mask will be applied all over your face  which will then need to be kept on for 8-12 hours according to your skin type, before you can wash it off at home. Finally following the cosmelan 1 mask you will be given a home kit which will then help protect and maintain your results, and 48 hours after the follow up phase, your at home treatment is started with the application of cosmelan 2, hydra vital factor k  and moisturising SPF 50+, this will carry on being applied daily for up to 7 months to stop the re appearance of dark spots.

Results from the cosmelan peel

What is Global Eyecon?

Say goodbye to dark circles, under eye bags, drooping eye lids and fine lines. This treatment is used to fight the signs of ageing and fatigue in the eye contour area. This professional treatment corrects wrinkles, under-eye bags and circles, sagging and pigmentation in the periocular (eye) area.

How does the global eyecon treatment work?

This amazing treatment has been brought to us by the mesoestetic Pharma Group. Their team researched and developed this product until they were able to deliver a comprehensive treatment to combat the issues in the eye contour area.

Mesoestetic Global Eyecon is a 6 stage treatment which consists of 3 sessions of the specially formulated peel followed by the microneedling transepidermal solution in the later 3 stages and a crystal fibre eye mask.

What happens during the treatment?

There are several stages to the Global Eyecon treatment. The treatment consists of alternating peel and solution sessions to achieve incredible results in the eye contour area.

Periocular Peel

The first step of the treatment involves the application of the Global Eyecon Periocular Peeling solution. This is a very specific peel for the eye area that combines powerful global anti-aging, anti-fatigue and depigmentation products.

The Periocular Peel has been developed carefully for the delicate eye area. It targets all types of visible wrinkles: static, dynamic and gravitational and combines Azelaic, Salicylic, Lactic, Phytic and Citric acids.

Periocular Solution

At your next treatment, you will have the global eyecon periocular solution stage. This sterile solution combines ingredients with depigmenting and decongestant action on microcirculation.

The specially designed sterile Periocular Solution is pushed in to the skin using a needling device. This formula combines ingredients for a depigmenting and decongesting action, which improves microcirculation.

Crystal Fiber Eye Mask

Finally, once you have finished the course of the alternating above treatments, Global Eyecon involves the application of the soothing crystal fiber eye mask.

This hydrogel mask, containing hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and cucumber extract is applied to the eye contour to cool, refresh and calm the eye area post-treatment. The mask has been specifically designed for the delicate area of the eye contour to fight back against dark circles and eye bags. The mask works to depigment, moisturise, decongest and rejuvenate the skin.  

Results and downtime
