What is microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a simple yet effective way of rejuvenating and polishing your skin, with immediate visible results. Belvoir Aesthetics uses a diamond abrasive microdermabrasion machine, which has a wand to mechanically exfoliate the superficial dead skin cells.

What is microdermabrasion used for?

• Dull, dehydrated skin

• Build up of dead dry skin or excess oils 

How does it work?

Microdermabrasion is an intensive exfoliating treatment, which smoothes and removes the top outer layer of skin. It is performed using a diamond abrasive tip wand that exfoliates the top layers of the skin, reducing the visibility of skin imperfections, helping active homecare products to penetrate deeper into the skin, for deeper benefits. The microdermabrasion process also helps to encourage the production of collagen, which keeps the skin firm and young looking. We finish the treatment with a mask to suit your skin type.

How many treatments will I need?

You should notice some improvement straight away, but we recommend a full course of 6 treatments, with one session every 21 days for optimum results.

Recovery time

There is no recovery period, although the skin may appear red in colour for several hours after your treatment.

Aftercare

Do not apply pressure of exfoliants to the skin for 48 hours including AHA’S and BHA’S. Avoid make up for 24 hours. And apply moisturises and SPF to keep your skin healthy after treatments.

Procedure time

45 minutes including the mask for your skin type.

What is a radiofrequency facial?

This treatment is ideal for clients looking for tighter, firmer skin.

How does the treatment tighten the skin?

Target radiofrequency waves are used to heat beneath the skin, breaking down old collagen and stimulating new collagen and fibroblasts, helping to lift and tighten the skin.

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone, female or male who wishes to dimish fine lines and wrinkles, tighten and lift the skin. The radiofrequency is good for all skin types and can also be used around the eyes.

Results

A course of 6-8 sessions our recommended with weekly sessions.

Downtime

There is no downtime and no discomfort with this treatment, we would describe it as a relaxing intense anti ageing treatment. Slight erythema (redness) may appear after until the skin cools down.

Aftercare

Avoid heat treatments for 48hours, SPF should be applied and a good skin care routine will be advised by your skin specialist for optimum results.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a non invasive plumping and hydrating treatment, were cosmeceutical ingredients are pushed into the skin using low frequency pulses.

 How does mesotherapy work?  

By using mid low frequency pulses, the active ingredients are transported via small channels through the skins surface and deep down into the cellular level. By using active ingredients such as anti oxidants, vitamins, peptides and hyaloronic acid the skin appears healthier, smoother, plumped and more youthful.

Results

Mesotherapy is for all skin types and can be done on female or males. A course of 6 is recommended for best results; however a one off session can be done for an immediate skin boost, with no downtime.

Aftercare

Avoid make up for up to 12 hours, also avoid contact with the skin for 6 hours after the treatment as the products will carry on working. Apply a good range of serums to maximise your results recommended by your skin specialist.

What is LED light therapy?

LED light activates the skins photoreceptors and allows the skin cells to absorb its energy. In treatments the LED penetrates the skin to treat issues from the inside out.

LED light has 7 different coloured light bulbs, each with a specific benefit for your skin.
